I am spellbound and awed. I have over 13 years clean from meth, I used for 12 years. I am also a step-mother of a son who has a similar childhood and divorced family situation as Nic, as well as the deadly addiction to pills and heroin/pot and alcohol. Not only do I take this book insight into how i can help him, for the first time I feel "proud" (??) of the accomplishment of getting clean and staying clean for this long. Other addicts should know - I did not think life was worth living sober..knew it wasn't worth crap to be clean. i was wrong - i have never been happier/more content/full of life. it keeps getting better
