Beautiful Boy Site Is Malfunctioning - again

I just looked at what I posted yesterday. On my desktop, it says I have 6 replies (but subtract 1, because I posted in 2 parts), but I only see one here, and that's from Winnie. So I turned on the laptop: it says 7 replies, and they are from JLP2, Waterdance, Cindykay (2) and Mayabee. That, plus my double post = 6. Winnie, the only one that appears on my desktop, is missing on my laptop.

Also, on my desktop, there's a new post from Waterdance (time noted a little after 7:00 PM). No new post from her on my laptop.

I have both computers on in front of me.

I'm copying this on an e-mail and sending it to HMH's tech department.

Cindykay, I added that you started a new thread last week, and it disappeared once you sent it. If you wish to elaborate, or have had other problems, please let them know.

Anybody else aware of any problems? It's hard to know if you don't have two computers!

If you are experiencing difficulty, please add to this thread and notify HMH by e-mail at:

Neither Waterdance's 7:08 post, nor my new thread (this one) is showing up on my laptop. It still says the last post was at 6:12 by Mayabee - and it's now 9:07 EST. I refreshed the page a few times. Closed the site, too, and reopened. Nothing changed.

I'm sure this is happening to other people. They might just not know it.

HMH, we've been having problems for weeks. Please fix this site.

Yes Molly, Having missing thread problems that show up a day or two later. It is quite disturbing especially when there are parents going through the distress you are experiencing right now. You want immediate feed back and have to wait for the threads to re-appear. I hope they get this fixed. I wonder if Nic Sheff is aware of it.

I know some of my posts are missing - all i can think of is a moderator reads after posted and deletes them. They are there then they are gone. I am not a computer person so that is just a wild guess

The problem is not a moderator. The posts re-appear in a day or two. Some are missing, others stay put. It appears to be a random problem, whether desktop or laptop makes no difference. I have had some remain on the thread and then the same day have others vanish only to come back. Hopefully they can figure this out.

None of this was showing up on my desktop, except for my own posts. Here I am on the laptop.

I didn't hear from HMH today. Will wait and see if they contact us tomorrow. Otherwise, one of us should e-mail David Sheff and let him know. I think he would intervene.
