i just read the book

Thank you for writing your story. My son died on Dec. 21 2010 he was 20 years old and a herion addict. He was our beautiful boy but he couldnot get away from the illness and chose to end his own suffering. I cant explain how hard it has been for us all to have lost him but in truth we have been grieving for him for many years. We like others tried everything to help him but could not. Your book has helped us by knowing we were not alone. I am also reading nics book and it is like reading my sons life. Thank you

I'm so sorry. My son does meth and is in jail for holding off cops with a gun. His outcome is bleak; he does not want help.

It does help to know we are not alone. It's beyond horror what families go through with an addict. I hope this brings closure for you and you can start to heal.
