About Electronic Licensing
Electronic Reference Licensing is the electronic arm of Houghton Mifflin's Trade and Reference Division. Just as the Trade and Reference Division publishes works of high quality, such as The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, the Peterson Field Guides®, and the Taylor Gardening Guides, so Electronic Reference Licensing offers many of the same works in high-quality electronic formats.
We license properties for which Houghton Mifflin controls the electronic rights. Most of these properties have been structured in SGML and/or HTML with indices, and some integrated with an API or CGI look-up tool. Please consult our catalog for information about them and please let us know if there are other properties listed in the Trade and Reference catalog that you might wish to license. The uses for our electronic products are wide-ranging and constantly evolving. You can already find them in hand-held devices, as CD-ROMs, in search engines and portals, on websites and Intranets, in library databases, as ebooks, and embedded in ebooks. We will be happy to work with you to provide products for these uses and any others you and we can imagine.
