SOME UNEXPECTED GOOD THINGS:
- 1. Finding money on the sidewalk.

- 3. Meeting a famous person.
WHAT YOU DO WHEN AN UNEXPECTED GOOD THING HAPPENS TO YOU:
- Say a quiet-to-yourself thank-you.
QUIET THANK-YOUS VS. OUT-LOUD THANK-YOUS:
Out-loud thank-yous are the kind you say when someone gives you a present or passes the ketchup across the table. These are important because it is always nice to be polite and thoughtful, but sometimes the biggest, most special thank-yous are the kind you say to yourself so no one else can hear you. These kind of thank-yous are probably the kind that would be nice to hear, but for some reason most people hardly ever say them.
Before school today I had three quiet thank-yous, but then an unexpected thing happened and now I have four. When something like this happens you can’t help but think . . . Today is going to be a great day!
